NORTH LOGAN, Utah, Oct. 14, 2014 —
A new fan-cooled pyroelectric laser sensor from Ophir Photonics covers wavelengths from 0.19 µm to 2.9 nm.
The F-PE80BF-DIF-C is designed for high-power, short-pulse YAG lasers and harmonic generation applications in cosmetic surgery, fluid dynamics, and cutting and welding. The sensor measures pulses with average powers to 200 W and energy measurement down to 0.5 mJ. It supports repetition rates up to 25 kHz and pulse widths up to 20 ms.
The device employs a blocking filter coating and a diffuser to provide a damage threshold of 50 J/cm2 at 2 ms.
