EDINBURGH, Scotland, July 26, 2019 — The ezPYRO SMD DUAL from Pyreos Ltd. is a dual-channel surface mount pyroelectric sensor that features low power consumption, built-in power management, and simple integration.
The ezPyro sensor couples two thin-film PZT pyroelectric elements, which are separated by 2 mm. This small distance makes it easier to focus IR energy on both elements in a simple optical and energy-efficient design. It also ensures that both elements are in near-identical environments, giving the best possible reference compensation. The integrated digital package reduces detector cost and component count while increasing the performance of customer modules.
Applications include gas detection and certain flame detection applications.
