SANTA CLARA, Calif., Nov. 10, 2014 — A new IR pyrometer from LumaSense Technologies Inc. offers 0.3 °C precision and a range of 350 to 2000 °C.
The sensor is intended for monitoring the refractory and gas temperatures inside sulfur recovery units, sulfur burners and thermal oxidizer furnaces.

The company’s Smart Flame Measurement Algorithm accounts for flame transparency that can affect temperature readings for a more precise view of activity inside petrochemical combustion vessels.
