Vision Components GmbH has announced embedded vision systems with a quad-core processor.
The onboard quad-core processor, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 410, is clocked at 1.2 GHz. The board camera features a Gbit Ethernet interface, 12 GPIOs, 1 GB of RAM, and 16-GB flash memory. Two optional add-on boards provide the embedded system with an SD card slot and more interfaces: serial interface, I²C, RS232, DSI, RJ45 Ethernet adapter, and power interface.
High-end CMOS sensors are integrated, starting with Sony Pregius IMX 296, and feature a resolution of 1440 × 1080 pixels and a 60-fps frame rate. Applications include OEM design and industrial serial production.
