Mitutoyo America Corp. has released Measur-Link 7, the latest version of its suite of quality control management software. Combining real-time data acquisition, online statistical process control analysis, integrated networking and quality information sharing, its four modules enable users to tailor a quality management system to their requirements. The standard edition, designed for acquisition and analysis of data in real time, enables checking of variable and attribute inspection information to maximize production and minimize defects. It offers views that allow the user to create part characteristics, with nominal and tolerance data, and traceability lists. The data collection interface provides real-time graphics for run charts, histograms and statistics. Standard views include datasheet, classic and 2-D. Full reporting template functionality is provided.
