The Lumazone imaging system from Roper Bioscience
is offered in various models for quantitative measurements of chemiluminescence
and fluorescence emitted by samples, including whole animals and plants. All systems
come with a dark box, a camera, an LED light source for bright-field imaging and
Lumazone software that offers various image processing and analysis tools. Buyers
can choose one of four back-illuminated CCD or EMCCD cameras, or a front-illuminated
EMCCD camera, depending on their needs. The cameras all have a 16-bit dynamic range
and are cooled. Automated or manual systems are offered. Certain models include
emission and excitation filter wheels, a 100- or 300-W xenon light source and a
circular neutral-density filter to control lamp intensity.
