In partnership with Photal Otsuka Electronics, Labsphere has released the QE-1000 quantum efficiency measurement system. Using the companies’ patented HalfMoon integrating system, the device measures both liquid and solid samples with accuracy and reproducibility, enabling excitation across the 250- to 700-nm spectral range and detection from 240 to 8000 nm. It decreases stray light in the ultraviolet region and offers a choice of wavelengths using a monochrome excitation light source and an optical filter. Applications include photoluminescence and photoluminescence spectrum analysis of LED materials, bioluminescence, dispersion light, and Langmuir-Blodgett and functional film.
