Terahertz Device Corp.’s QuiC SLED, a line of quantum interband-cascade superlattice LEDs, brings bright, fast-switching light to the MWIR atmospheric window.

The LEDs emit 4.25-µm wavelength light with peak power above 2 mw and an emission peak overlapping the carbon dioxide absorption line. The devices cover mid-IR wavelengths from 3 µm to 15 µm.

QuiC SLED enables applications in the chemical, thermal imaging and biophotonics industries, among others.
