Archer OpTx has announced that it is offering Kodak replacement lenses. The company has engineered the designs of the Kodak A414, A365, A375, A390 and A397 models for its high-precision molding process and has developed true drop-in replacement versions with equivalent dispersion and nearly identical lens curvatures. When the lenses are used at a wavelength other than the design wavelength, the performance changes will be comparable to the Kodak lenses. The molded lenses are produced using Archer’s PerfectLens technology, which produces high-yield long-life molds that are free of the high-frequency surface defects that can result from single-point diamond turning of the molds.
