Everlight Electronics Co. Ltd. offers the CLS-16D17-34-DF6 digital RGB color sensor for display applications. The device is based on CMOS technology and operates at a minimum supply voltage of 1.7 V.

RGB Color SensorThe sensor features a four-channel digital output for sensing red, green and blue via an inter-integrated circuit (I2C) interface. Correlated color temperature (CCT) and lux sensing are available through the master control unit.

An RGB algorithm reduces IR noise to calculate CCT and lux figures accurately. Even in a dimmer environment, it still can reach sensor resolution of 0.002 lx per count.

The device is designed for display equipment including smart watches, mobile phones, tablets and notebooks, navigation systems, virtual keyboards, and for the Internet of Things.
