MELAKA, Malaysia, Oct. 12, 2010 — Dominant Opto Technologies Sdn. Bhd. has introduced the high-intensity RGB SPNovaLED model NMRTB-WSG, which replaces the existing NMRTB-USD device. The RGB technology of this LED also allows driving each chip in the package individually to mix and match any requested color, including white, to provide balanced lighting distribution.

With an operating current of 250 mA, the LED features a typical luminous intensity of 9000 mcd for red, 12,000 mcd for true green and 4000 mcd for blue.

Its long lifetime results from its silicone encapsulation and the low thermal resistance of the housing, converting it to a multiLED product. The true high intensity light source measures 6.0 × 6.0 × 1.5 mm and has a 130° viewing angle that ensures good color mixing.

Applications include full color display boards, signage, decorative lighting, and channel and architectural lighting.
