StockerYale Inc. says its quartz polymer-clad silica fiber optic ringlights will allow 10 percent more illumination output than glass fibers across the visible range, transmit whiter illumination over extended distances and provide a high transmission of UV radiation. The lights, which provide 360° of uniform illumination, are housed in black anodized aluminum with crimped stainless steel terminations. They are available in many annular sizes for applications including UV curing of adhesives, UV sensors, chemical analysis and crack detection using UV-activated dye penetrants.
