The OL 457 is a wavelength-selectable, nearly monochromatic NIST-traceable radiant light source manufactured by Optronic Laboratories Inc. It provides more flexibility and higher performance than filtered sources and is a lower-cost alternative to monochromators. Interchangeable LED sources offer versatility and provide uniformity and continuously variable intensity over many decades. Applications include any that require a stable or calibrated source; e.g., MTF; radiance and irradiance sensitivity of detectors, arrays and cameras; linearity testing; and dynamic range and signal-to-noise testing.
