Raman Mini-SpectrometerThe C14214MA Raman mini-spectrometer from Hamamatsu Corp. is a compact device designed for Raman spectroscopy applications.

Measuring 100 × 60 × 12 mm and weighing 95 g, this mini-spectrometer’s housing holds components needed to perform measurements including a high-throughput quartz transmission grating, an image sensor, and a driver circuit. The CMOS linear image sensor contains 2048 pixels, maintains high sensitivity equivalent to that of a CCD, and achieves low power consumption. Providing a sensitivity from 790 to 1050 nm and a typical spectral resolution of 0.4 nm FWHM, the C14214MA mini-spectrometer is best suited for Raman spectroscopy applications using a 785-nm excitation source.

The product also comes with evaluation software featuring functions for setting measurement conditions, acquiring and saving data, drawing graphs, and more. In addition, DLL function specifications are provided so users can create their original control and interface software programs. The C14214MA includes a trigger input, as well.
