Raman Scattering SuppressorPowerSpectrum Raman Scattering Suppressor (RSS) from TeraXion increases the power of fiber lasers without compromising system stability and performance.

The system removes stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) photons at strategic locations of the optical chain. This new fiber Bragg grating-based product increases the SRS wavelength attenuation by >20 dB over a wide bandwidth without compromising signal strength or quality. Once integrated in a high-power continuous-wave fiber laser system, the RSS greatly decreases the SRS effect. This reduction of SRS significantly contributes to increasing the laser engines’ output power while improving their immunity to back reflections.
