Raman SpectrometerHoriba Scientific has announced the MacroRAM Raman spectrometer, a benchtop device that brings simplicity to Raman measurements without compromising the ability to handle complex samples.

It includes a standard interlocked sample compartment and holders for cuvette-based liquid measurements, along with a solid sample holder. A fiber port comes standard for probe-based Raman measurements outside the sample compartment, accommodating larger or irregularly shaped samples and immersion probes.

MacroRAM is designed with Horiba's 120-mm focal length spectrograph with a single aberration corrected concave grating with a flat field output. Its back-thinned scientific CCD is cooled down to −50 °C.

MacroRAM is only available in North America at this time.
