The RASP1 and RASP2 Portable Coded-Aperture Raman Spectrometers from Thorlabs Inc. are designed for detecting low-intensity Raman signals and can analyze the chemical composition of solid and liquid samples.

RASP1 is equipped with an integrated 785-nm excitation laser, while RASP2 features both 785- and 680-nm lasers. The spectrometers utilize patented Coded-Aperture technology to overcome the tradeoff between spectral resolution and light throughput in conventional single slit spectrometers. They offer a large field-of-view sampling area and reduce the chance of laser-induced damage to the sample. The spectrometers come with user-friendly software, ThorRaman, and include a built-in Neon spectral lamp for calibration. They can automatically analyze samples against a reference library and support the creation of custom libraries.
