Light Age Inc. has announced a large-aperture Raman converter that provides wavelength-shift capability for most pulsed laser systems. It offers wavelength conversion for beams up to 1 in. in diameter, uses no nonlinear crystals and has no highly sensitive alignment requirements. The company says that the device enables a variety of Raman shifts, from the UV through the IR.
