The latest generation of fast Raman imaging systems, StreamLine Plus, has been launched by Renishaw plc. Combining proprietary hardware, software and firmware to optimize data collection, visualization and processing, the fully scalable system delivers images of entire tablet spectra in less than four minutes. It can be used with the proprietary inVia microscopes and features line focus, a high-speed encoded stage and synchronized readout of the CCD, enabling variable spatial resolutions. It is compatible with the company’s WiRE 3.1 software, which supports multiple detectors and automatic spectrometer configuration, and permits experiments to be queued and chemical images to be viewed and manipulated during acquisition.
