PD-LD Inc. has announced a high-power, volume Bragg grating-stabilized multimode 647-nm red laser series. The laser sources enable an increased range of spectroscopic analytical capabilities. Their increased precision and expanded range allow for better characterization of the C-H stretch range in Raman spectroscopy, making the lasers suitable for analyzing many organic compounds and other substances. The series offers high spectral purity, linewidth of <0.1 nm and high optical power. The internal temperature control ensures spectral stability and consistent power over varied operating conditions. Besides Raman spectroscopy, applications include avionics and sensing.
