StellarNet.jpgStellarNet Inc. has added the R600 series reflectance probes for the UV-VIS and VIS-NIR spectral ranges. Offering the ruggedness and stability of the R400 series, the probes employ a seven-around-one design — seven fibers to illuminate the sample, with one fiber to collect the reflected light. They contain 600-μm-diameter fibers, an improvement over the 400-μm-diameter fibers used in the previous series. This advance results in a threefold gain in signal strength, enabling the use of higher-resolution spectrometers. The R600 probes work with the EPP2000C concave grating spectrometer for real-time color measurements and with the EPP2000-InGaAs NIR spectrometers for compound/composition analysis. They also can work with the combined spectrometers for simultaneous color and composition analysis.
