Request InfoEdmund Optics Inc.Tech Spec ball lenses with a high index of refraction are available from Edmund Industrial Optics. The lenses can be used to improve coupling between fibers, emitters and detectors and for endoscopy, bar-code scanning and sensor applications. They are available in diameters ranging from 1 to 8 mm with tolerances of +0/-3 µm, 40-20 surface quality and 2-µm sphericity. The company says the higher refractive index enables users to design systems with tight space requirements. Tech Spec Type B drum lenses with a cylindrical mounting surface also are available.See full productRelated content from Photonics MediaPRODUCTSPhotonics Spectra April 2024 IssueMetalens Fisheye Camera2Pi Optics’ high-resolution fisheye sensor based on optical metalens technology is made for designers who need miniature cameras for use in advanced driver-assistance systems, AR/VR, UAVs,...Photonics Spectra September 2022 IssueMWIR Continuous Zoom LensThe Ophir® LightIR 18- to 225-mm MWIR f/4 continuous zoom lens from MKS Instruments Inc. is a compact thermal imaging lens optimized for 10-µm SXGA/HD and 15-µm VGA focal plane array...Photonics Spectra April 2024 IssueImage IntensifierThe Photonis 25-mm image intensifier solution from Exosens is made for active detection applications in life science and scientific imaging.
