Special Optics Inc.
Special Optics Inc. is offering in-line beam steerers, which, unlike Risley prisms, move laser beams in a Cartesian coordinate system rather than in a polar one. The devices consist of an adjustable wedge formed by a planoconcave and a planoconvex lens that are joined by a thin layer of index-matching fluid. Displacing one lens with respect to the other changes the wedge angle, which steers the beam. Three models are available, with maximum deflections of ±30, 25 or 20 mrad and clear apertures of 6, 10 or 15 mm. Custom designs, materials and deflection ranges are offered.See full product
