Its effective focal length changes from infinity to negative or positive values of only a few meters, resulting in a diverging or converging beam that compensates for beam waist effects. The mirror is water-cooled, with forced-air-cooled versions available upon request, and can be safely used with both multikilowatt CO2 and Nd:YAG lasers.
