FARO Technologies Inc.SMX Corp. is offering a new generation of laser-based coordinate measuring machines developed specifically for 3-D measurement of large-scale objects. The Tracker4000 can measure objects from one to hundreds of meters in size, with an accuracy of 25 µm at 5 m. Combining angular encoders with laser ranging sensors, the device measures X, Y and Z positions in any user-defined coordinate system at a rate of 1000 measurements per second. Applications include surface contouring, alignment and machine metrology.See full productRelated content from Photonics MediaPRODUCTSPhotonics Spectra April 2023 IssueLaser Phase Lock SystemThe OE5000 Hi-Q Laser Phase Lock System from OEwaves Inc. allows the offset locking of two individual lasers separated in frequency by as much as 50 GHz.
