Request InfoCoherent Inc.SANTA CLARA, Calif., Oct. 12, 2006 -- The new Cube 445 from Coherent Inc. is a compact, conduction-cooled laser that delivers 40 mW of power at 445 nm. Thanks to its all-semiconductor technology, the Cube 445 delivers higher reliability, lower noise and longer lifetime than HeCd (helium-cadmium) gas lasers, which were formerly the only choice at this wavelength, the company said. The Cube 445 also offers superior beam characteristics compared to HeCd lasers, with an M2 of typically less than 1.2, a beam divergence of 0.6 mrad, a pointing stability of under 6 µrad/°C, and a typical RMS noise level of 0.05 percent (20 Hz to 100...See full productRelated content from Photonics MediaPRODUCTSPhotonics Spectra July 2023 IssueDeep UV Picosecond LaserThe HyperRapid NXT 266 industrial-grade deep UV picosecond laser from Coherent offers precision manufacturing as small as 5 µm.
