Vitesse Semiconductor Corp. says that the laser driver's on-chip selectable data reclocking feature provides a simple way to achieve margin in the data eye by reducing the jitter in the input data stream. The driver's short rise and fall times provide dispersion penalty for short-, intermediate- and long-reach fiber communications.
