Discovery Semiconductors Inc.The Lab Buddy is a fiber-input photodetector from Discovery Semiconductors Inc. It can capture optical modulation with bandwidth from DC to 70 GHz using proprietary InGaAs PIN photodiodes. The company says the device simplifies adding optical front ends to network-vector analyzers, RF power meters and oscilloscopes. It can be used in laboratories for O/E conversion of optical pulses with rise times of 30 to 5 ps or for SONET/SDH data from 2.5 to 49 Gb/s.See full productRelated content from Photonics MediaPRODUCTSPhotonics.com 3/7/2023Water SensorThe Apollo Water Sensor platform from Intelligent Optical Systems Inc. is an optode-based sensing platform designed for sensitive measurements in challenging environments.
