A new few-mode fiber erbium-doped amplifier (FM-EDFA) is the latest product from the European R&D collaborative Mode-Gap. Developed by the University of Southampton, the new FM-EDFA will be manufactured by Phoenix Photonics. The core-pumped amplifier is intended for research on few-mode fiber mode-division multiplexing (MDM) transmission and is compatible with OFS-designed six- and six-mode fibers.See full product
