A gas sensor measuring acetone level in exhaled air from Olythe SAS can aid in the diagnosis of certain pathologies such as ketosis or diabetic ketoacidosis. The OCIEngine sensor uses IR spectroscopy technology and consists of a measuring tank traversed by IR radiation. When the exhaled air passes through this cell, the molecules of interest absorb some of the radiation, which reduces the intensity of the optical signal.
