Request InfoProcess Sensors Corp., IR Temperature Div.Process Sensors Corp. has added the improved high-accuracy, low-temperature Metis Model MB35 sensor series to its line of precision noncontact infrared pyrometers. With an operating temperature range starting at 35 °C, the pyrometers use a lead selenide detector with filtered spectral response from 2 to 5 µm. Applications include CO2 laser heating, composites and metal surfaces above 35 °C. The emissivity of metallic surfaces decreases with shorter wavelengths, so the devices offer better performance than those with a longer-wavelength response, according to the company.
