The technique incorporates a 3000-W CO2 laser integrated with an articulated arm beam delivery system and a processing head that is manipulated by a multiaxis robot. The company says it provides the same multiaxis flexibility as an Nd:YAG laser with a fiber optic beam delivery system but consumes less power and requires less maintenance.
