Boulder Nonlinear Systems has introduced a 256 x 256 analog liquid crystal spatial light modulator that offers gray-scale response with eight bits per pixel. It is suitable for applications such as optical correlation and beam steering, optical storage and telecommunications. The company says the modulator delivers fast frame rates, high optical performance and high resolution. The device has plug-and-play capabilities and is available with either nematic or ferroelectric liquid crystal for phase, amplitude or polarization rotation requirements.See full product
