Physical Optics Corp. (POC)Physical Optics Corp. has announced its 6542 two-channel optical multiplexer-demultiplexer transmission system for fiber optic data networks. Each channel supports up to a 180-Mb/s data rate with an aggregate bandwidth of up to 360 Mb/s per fiber per direction without reducing distance. The 6542 features data multiplexing, and single- and multimode fiber conversion or wavelength conversion in a single box. The company says it is an affordable means for extending network distance and expanding network capacity. A four-channel model, the 6544, also is available.See full productRelated content from Photonics MediaPRODUCTSPhotonics.com 2/20/2023Positioning, Navigation, and Timing System ReferenceThe PNT-6200 Series Assured Reference from Viavi Solutions Inc. delivers security in positioning, navigating and timing (PNT) services communications for service providers, network equipment...Photonics Spectra July 2023 IssueCombination DWDM and OTDRThe RXT-4113+ combination dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) and legacy optical time domain reflectometer (OTDR) from VeEX Inc. is designed for contractors and technicians who require...Photonics Spectra January 2023 IssueSteering MirrorsPiezo and voice-coil steering mirrors from Physik Instrumente LP are designed for free space optical communications.
