The nanocrystal doped glass filters emit visible light with as little as 30 mW/mm2 of incident light at 1064 nm without blooming or pre-charging. The high transparency of the glass allows for beam size, shape, and mode to be easily viewed. They feature a high damage threshold of 51 J/cm2 at 1064 nm and 10 ns, designed as an alternative to laser detection cards in high-power laser applications.
