Request InfoAdvanced PhotonixAdvanced Photonix Inc. has released a series of silicon PIN photodiodes designed for monitoring the output power of short-wavelength semiconductor lasers. They are typically supplied as a bare die soldered to a ceramic block and have a 0.7 X 1.0- mm active area for simplified optical alignment. Their ceramic mount is metallized on both ends, allowing the detector to be soldered to the same substrate as the source laser. The detectors are available in custom configurations and packages and can be produced in monolithic arrays.See full productRelated content from Photonics MediaPRODUCTSPhotonics Spectra September 2022 IssueDirect Time-of-Flight SensorThe VL53L8 direct Time-of-Flight sensor from STMicroelectronics can be used for smartphones, smart speakers, human-machine interfaces, consumer lidar, augmented reality, and more.
