The company says the device provides consistent power to the lamp regardless of voltage fluctuations. The power supply continuously monitors the increase in voltage required for consistent illumination over the life of the lamp, and can identify when the lamp must be replaced. Indicator lamps show when the arc is starting and when the lamp is functioning normally.
