They incorporate a GaAs laser chip that uses proprietary submarine-qualified technology. The chip is housed in an industry-standard hermetically sealed 14-pin cooled butterfly package and wavelength-locked by a fiber Bragg grating integrated into the single-mode polarization-maintaining fiber pigtail.
