They offer a light beam of +/-6° to +/-10° which, the company says, results in a 93% reduction in beam angle compared to conventional SMT LEDs, making them suitable for use in medical device, security, sensor and visible lighting applications that require concentrated light. The LED is mounted upside down and shines directly into an internal parabolic reflector, providing high-intensity brightness in a narrow beam of light...See full productRelated content from Photonics MediaPRODUCTSPhotonics Spectra January 2023 IssuePhotodetectorsSurface-Mount Silicon and Indium Gallium Arsenide Photodetectors from Advanced Photonix are designed for high-speed response applications.
