Request InfoIndustrial 50-W Picosecond LaserCoherent Kaiserslautern GmbHKAISERSLAUTERN, Germany, Aug. 14, 2009 – Lumera Laser GmbH is offering a family of picosecond lasers to manufacturers who need to drill or cut thin materials to produce components that should not be subjected to heat. The pulses of the Rapid lasers are so short that heat generated by the beam cannot migrate into heat-affected zones as can be the case with lasers that have longer pulse widths. The result is a laser process known as cold micromachining that generates no burrs or splatter. The picosecond lasers are effective on any material <1 mm in thickness, and they deliver removal rates as high as 30 mm3/min. Users can...See full productRelated content from Photonics MediaPRODUCTSPhotonics.com 8/4/2022Fiber Optic ConnectorsThe Amphe-Lite connector series from Amphenol Industrial Operations has been enhanced to meet the needs of fiber optic interconnection applications in the medical, oil and gas, security, and grid...BioPhotonics Nov/Dec 2023 IssueCompact Femtosecond Fiber LaserThe Carmel X-515 ultracompact laser head from Calmar Laser is a fiber-based femtosecond laser offered in both a scientific — CDRH compliant — version with front panel control knobs and an...Photonics Spectra September 2023 IssueLaser Processing SystemThe Fast Component Welding (FCW) laser processing system from Scansonic MI GmbH combines multiple scanner units, allowing for simultaneous processing of multiple components or the processing of...Photonics Spectra October 2022 IssueExplosion-Proof TDL SpectrometerAn explosion-proof TDLS8200 probe-type tunable diode laser spectrometer from Yokogawa Electric Corp. provides simultaneous measurement of oxygen and carbon monoxide or methane concentrations for...ARTICLESPhotonics Spectra January 2024 IssueUV-based 3D Printing Accelerates Multipurpose Glass ProductionCurrent 3D-printing techniques for fabricating glass involve time-consuming processes that require high temperatures and considerable resources to complete.
