Request InfoMeller Optics Inc.Meller Optics Inc. has introduced a line of optical-quality sapphire tubes and rods for use as plungers, tips, insulators, flow control devices, spacers and lightguides. The tubes and rods have Moh 9 hardness and are chemically inert. They are either sold as-grown, or they can be fabricated per MIL-PRF-13830, with all surfaces polished. Tubes are available in diameters of 1/8 to 2 in., with a 0.020-in. wall and 500-mm maximum length, and they can be provided with one end sealed. Rods range from 0.080 to 1 in. in diameter, with an 800-mm maximum length.See full productRelated content from Photonics MediaWEBINARSPhotonics.com 3/21/2013Techniques in Biophotonic ImagingFREE WEBINAR Sponsored by: Hamamatsu & Applied Scientific Instrumentation Additional Questions & Answers from the webinar are below: Dr. Kimani C.
