Request InfoFibercoreFibercore Ltd. has unveiled the SM300, a single-mode fiber with an undoped silica core designed for high-power medical and biotechnical applications. Delivered in ultraviolet, blue and green wavelengths, the fiber addresses the problem of photodarkening in conventional fibers when transmitting more than a few milliwatts in the respective spectra. The silica core’s fluorinated cladding features apertures of 0.1 to 0.11. The fiber is suitable for applications requiring single-mode and high-beam quality, including laser Doppler velocimetry and anemometry, holography and two-photon spectroscopy.See full productRelated content from Photonics MediaPRODUCTSPhotonics.com 8/4/2022Fiber Optic ConnectorsThe Amphe-Lite connector series from Amphenol Industrial Operations has been enhanced to meet the needs of fiber optic interconnection applications in the medical, oil and gas, security, and grid...BioPhotonics.com April 2024 IssueAI FPGAsThe Agilex™ 5 FPGAs from Altera and Intel are AI enabled field programmable gate arrays meant for mid-range applications including video, industrial, robotics, medical, and others.
