Hyperlight Corp.
CAMBRIDGE, Mass., March 16, 2023 — Thin-film lithium niobate photonic integrated circuit (PIC) transmitter chips from HyperLight support 200 Gbits/lane in direct-detection datacenter transceivers and 1.6 Tbits/wavelength in coherent communications links. The chips feature CMOS-level drive voltages and ultrahigh electro-optic bandwidth that can enable 5 pJ/bit wall-plug efficiency while fitting into standard form factor transceivers. The low-drive-voltage platform enables both high performance and cost competitiveness on the same photonics platform to meet the demands of the 1.6-Tbps networking era.
