LAWRENCE, Mass., March 30, 2016 — Spectral Evolution Inc. offers a remote sensing leaf clip and its ILM-105 light source as a system for scanning vegetation samples in the lab or field when used with the company’s field-portable spectroradiometer.

Remote Sensing Leaf ClipThe leaf clip features include a 3-mm spot size for precise focus on the sample area, and a built-in reflectance standard.  The white reference standard is disposable, replaced by applying a peel-and-stick reference available in packs of ten. The separate ILM-105 light source keeps heat away from the sample.

The leaf clip and ILM-105 can be used with the PSR+ and RS-3500 field spectroradiometers in a range of remote sensing applications including ground-truthing hyperspectral images, analysis to identify healthy and stressed vegetation and agricultural products, and plant species identification.
