Ring LaserMKS Instruments Inc. has announced the Spectra-Physics Matisse C, a compact, tunable Ti:Sapphire ring laser.

Matisse C delivers an output power of up to >6.5 W, wide mode-hop-free tuning and narrow linewidth in a fully automated and sealed platform. Three models are available with different levels of passive and active frequency stabilization for linewidths down to 30 kHz over 100 msec. Matisse C features variable, low-frequency locking and dynamic scan range functionality to reduce noise for the most demanding precision applications, while out-of-plane cavity architecture and optomechanics affords high reliability and stability.

The laser is ideal for applications in the atomic, molecular and optical physics field including precision spectroscopy, atomic cooling, optical clocks, microcavity resonators and other quantum applications.
