Robotic SoftwareOptoForce Ltd. has rewritten its core software, Universal Robots  3.0 and 3.1, adding new capabilities and automation tasks not previously available for industrial robots.

The software offers greater speed for integration on many industrial robotic functions — for example, the speed of pin insertion and path recording with constant speed under force. The latter capability has the potential to substantially improve manufacturing performance. This will be especially useful during surface finishing, such as polishing and deburring. Path recording with constant speed under force mode is also now available.

In addition, robots can adapt to the surface and follow any kind of surface form, aided by the use of spline movement and keeping the torque constant. Setup remains simple, requiring only OptoForce software modules.
