Fisba Optik AG has launched Scan Controller, an intelligent stand-alone system for use in automated production. Incorporating all functions in a 19-in. housing that stands two units high, it includes all core parts, from power supply to control electronics for galvanometers, and can be programmed either on- or offline. Intelligent accessory functions also include a small programmable logic controller. The standard digital interfaces are used for display of scanner status, to start and stop programs, to input operating status and to control external equipment.
