Scanlab AG says that its varioScan 20i digitally controlled three-axis scan heads deliver twice the Z-focus shift of previous models. The digital encoder feedback and control system offers improved dynamics, eliminates drift effects and returns operational data to the PC interface board via a separate status channel. Users can monitor the position values of the system during the entire run time and can query data from a suite of operational parameters that are available through the status channel.
