Prior Scientific Inc. has announced the PL-200, an automated slide loader system for microscopy applications. It uses a rotating arm design and a multiple sensory-based gripper system to interface with the company’s ProScan II series motorized stages. A rigid common baseplate for the loader and the microscope minimizes vibration. The system can hold 200 slides in four removable slide racks that house 50 each. The supplied software development kit simplifies integration into third-party software packages.
