NORWOOD, Mass., Dec. 29, 2014 — Remtec leadless ceramic SMT packageRemtec Inc. has announced a new line of leadless ceramic surface-mount technology (SMT) substrate packages for electro-optical circuits.

The packages are compatible with most of JEDEC TO-style window caps such as TO-8 and TO-46, and operate at frequencies of 10 GHz and higher.

Applications include avalanche photodiode preamplifiers, LED sensors for noninvasive medical testing, vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser (VCSEL) diodes, optical data transfer systems and analytical instrumentation.
